Press Reviews

"Donal and Connie run a superb operation at Glann seven miles west of Oughterard and overlooking the Doorus peninsula. This area of the lake has spectacular scenery as well as some great lies of trout and salmon.

Donal ghillies and guides full time and his boats and engines are less than 100 metres from the front door."

David Gray, The Star, Thursday, September 5th 2002.

"You might say there is absolutely no chance of catching a fish in a garden by the shores of Lough Corrib. You would be right. But, as we discovered, it's the best place to start fly-fishing."

"That evening, we were weary from a day of casting ..... but we managed to engage in good conversation with two veteran fishermen, Phil and Dave from Co. Cork, over a scrumptious dinner ..... Phil regaled us with his fishing tales."

"Our trip was tremendous fun and well worth it for the breathtaking views of the Corrib, and the patient tuition and moments of banter with Donal ..... we are hooked and looking forward to the next perfect cast."

Simon Carswell, Sunday Business Post, April 20th 2003
